Context and Goal<\/span><\/h2>\n

The primary goal is to implement a quality control system for prefabricated walls among Quebec manufacturers of light-frame structural components, in accordance with CSA A277 (2021).<\/h4>\n

Before the CSA A277 standard was revised in 2021, no formal quality standard governed the manufacturing of these products. Only the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) and CSA O86:F19 (Engineering Design in Wood) applied, both of which focus on design and engineering requirements, but not on manufacturing quality control.<\/h4>\n

Following the 2021 revision, CSA A277 will now apply to both closed and open prefabricated panels once adopted by the R\u00e9gie du b\u00e2timent du Qu\u00e9bec<\/em> in the next edition of the NBC.<\/h4>\n

In collaboration with the Manufacturiers de structures de bois du Qu\u00e9bec<\/em> (MSBQ) association, the BOCA excellence cluster offers manufacturers a program that enables them to implement an internal quality control system that complies with CSA A277 requirements.<\/h4>\n[\/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size=”25″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1752170492469{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]\n
